The Art of US is one of those moments.
This traveling library exhibition brings the Horses of Unbridled into the warm, thoughtful spaces where communities already gather to learn, imagine, and connect. On the gallery walls, you will not find symbols or abstractions, rather ... you will meet real individualsâhorses, donkeys, and beloved mulesâeach with a lived history, a distinct presence, and a life that matters.
They are captured in candid moments, when nothing is hidden.
When breath shows.
When posture speaks.
When stillness reveals more than motion ever could.
What Youâll Experience

⢠âCanvases of Compassionâ â original works created voluntarily by the horses themselves
Some pieces are formally framed. Others are intentionally unframed, allowing the horses to meet you without barriers.
Each grouping is installed with care. Each wall tells a story. Each story asks very littleâonly that you pause.
Made Possible by Community ... Wherever The Art of US travels, it is carried, installed, and stewarded by the tireless, big-hearted people who volunteer at Unbridled.
They wrap the frames.
They lift the pieces.
They adjust by fractions of an inch so nothing distracts from the horses being fully seen.
The exhibition comes together the same way the Sanctuary itself operatesâthrough shared stewardship, trust, and the quiet understanding that what we do together matters. That spirit dwells in every installation.

At Unbridled, our signature program Read to the Rescues is built on a simple belief:
When you can read, you can do anything.
To bring The Art of US into a library is to align art, advocacy, and literacy in one shared space.
It places horsesâoften unseen, often passed byâinto the heart of community life.
It invites families, students, neighbors, and visitors to slow down and notice.
An Invitation ... To slow down. To look closer.
To encounter horses not for what they do, but for who they are.
